so this happened a couple weeks ago and i still feel stupid thinking about it i took Modvigil 200 before work because i had barely slept and needed to survive the day somehow. everything was fine till evening.came home, ordered food, opened the package and noticed all the empty amazon boxes near the kitchen looked messy that’s it.
that single thought ruined my night instead of eating like a normal person i suddenly became obsessed with organising every single box in the house i was sitting on the floor folding cardboard perfectly like i was training for some professional box-folding championship my roommate walked in and just stared at me for like 10 seconds before saying bro what are you actually doing and the scary part is my brain genuinely thought this was VERY important at the time still use it sometimes for busy days but now i fully understand why people say dosage and timing matter so much because once that hyperfocus starts good luck convincing your brain to chill
This is actually kind of hilarious but also very relatable 😅
That “one small thing suddenly becomes a mission” state is real when your brain locks onto something.
Box-folding championship line got me lol, I can literally picture it.
But yeah, it makes sense how hyperfocus can completely override what you actually planned to do.
Glad you’ve figured out now that timing and balance really change the whole experience.
